The timeline end is not the end of the timeline

I have a project that is an hour long but unfortunately my playhead continues about 90 seconds past the last clip in the timeline. There are no other clips or slug in the timeline after my last clip. I've tried deleting my last few clips and inserting them again. No luck. I've "arrowed" down to the next edit point and it just stops at the last clip and won't go any further though it doesn't show the sprocket holes overlay in the player indicating the end of the timeline. And I can hit Play and it plays on. I've also tried copy and pasting the clips into a new timeline but that just crashes my computer.

Any ideas as to why this is happening and how I can fix it?
