I've got a colour grade and sound mix to do on the fly. Plugged my MacBook Pro into two external monitors, one a Thunderbolt Cinema screen, the other a generic LCD. Everything works fine. But.
I want to put up the FCPX app on the large generic screen, and send the Viewer over to the Thunderbolts as the (Second Display), and use the MacBook Pro screen for notes and bopping on and off the web. No matter what I try in the 'System Preferences' configuration I seem to get FCPX app on the generic monitor and the Viewer on the MacBook Pro, or vice-versa.
Though I can have the MacBook Pro as my FCPX monitor, and display on the Thunderbolts, but then I have that rather large generic screen taking up real estate for a tertiary job (notes and getting on the web), and not something I want to see, very bright, while I'm doing the colour grade on the Thunderbolt.
Is there any way I can have my FCPX app on the large generic monitor, and the 2nd Display be the Thunderbolts (and NOT the MacBook Pro screen)? Leaving the MacBook Pro screen for notes etc.??
Just wondering...
