Since I'm home today, I'll repost interesting stuff here as long as I am around. About one hour to go till the start of the show.

Lots of tweets coming out of the Supermeet right now. The excitement is palpable and the pre-event-post-traumatic preventative 'it's probably gonna suck' tweets are flying.

If the network holds up under the strain, you can follow them live here, even without a twitter account

People have been let in and are running to the front seats... Walter is still looking for Kevin Smith ...

People are tweeting in capitals with four exclamation marks and the show hasn't even started. Several hundred geeks may temporarily lose their eyesight in flailing arm incidents. I'm a bazillion miles away and may be one of them.

Also, I need popcorn.

3D glasses are being handed out. I think. Complaints that they are anaglyph glasses.

Entire documentary film category of this year's Academy Awards were edited using Final Cut Pro

Pushing the size of the market and their share. Adobe and avid fighting for second.

"WOW! That looks like a Davinci interface or something. Very cool!"

Color sync for accurate color. Mix resolutions and codecs in same timeline. Can use all cores

Full multi core grand central processing

It looks like iMoviePro (not that that's necessarily a bad thing)

Re: Supermeet updates

Content auto-analysis - you can start editing before it's done ingesting

Grand Central Dispatch ... No More Rendering!!!!!!

Automatic colour balance on the way in

Content Auto Analysis. Image Stabilization, people detection, shot detection, color balance, all automatic

Will also detect how many people are in your shots. Shot detection detects mediums, wides, etc.

Automatic non-destructive color correction on ingest

Cool but some aren't gonna like this!

auto audio cleanup on ingest (option)
