Pitch corrected audio skimming

Something very cool that made the audience go 'oohhh!'

Holy shiznit Batman! #FCPX just blew my mind. People are hooting & hollering!

At the end, Steve will walk out, and with great applause he'll rip the tablecloth off that podium and the whole bit will be running 4G off an iPhone and people will start fainting.

L & J Cuts never been easier

up to 4K natively!!!

Magnetic timeline makes L-cuts and J-cuts stupid simple to do.

lol Mike. I don't have an iPhone though, so I hope not.

Really advanced audio controls ... Fades, levels etc just like in Soundtrack Pro

Waveforms are beautiful. Fades, clipping and other basic audio edits are super easy to visualize & manage.

Final Cut Pro X looks outstanding. People at #SuperMeet are gasping at the demo.

New Retiming controls. Speedramps in seconds

Retime clips directly in timeline. Variable speeds in same clip!

awesome retiming effects are now really straightforward

screaming audience over dead. Simple. Color matching.

WOW ... Automatic color matching between two clips if you wish ... Wowowow

NO more rendering ... It's doing it all in background

Mix and match codecs. No transcoding. All native on one timeline. They're showing gopro h.264 footage native

NO MORE TRANSCODING for ANY footage, also H264

Incredible primary and secondary color correction additions!

Like PhotoShop...color correction in selected portions of clips

Secondary color correction built right into FCP. #fcp #supermeet vignettes and color ranges

there is no such thing as rendering and you can do everything and I mean EVERYTHING in the timeline.

keyframes of frame movements shown in timeline

More 'wow's and lots of clapping

New presenter onboard

If this is smart enough to detect a Macbeth color chip chart at the head of a take and balance accordingly, this could be outstanding for creating an even look to all dailies. Of course, this assumes that the production actually takes the time to shoot a chart on each take or series of takes.

What would make that even more useful would be a way to set up a custom look for the beginning of a project and have all ingested material treated with the same look.

However, I doubt that it is this advanced yet.

No idea yet

Everyone who's at the #supermeet right now reports FCP X is incredibly fast:

Massive clapping - for world wide .. something.. couldn't hear

Organization, background render, and selective color correction alone will entirely change my life.

I'm sure the rest of the studio will be announced over the coming days. Keep an eye on the FCP website at Apple.
