OT: "FCPX 1.0 will not be ready for professional use" ~ Larry Jordan....Posted by grafixjoe
I think people are overreacting a little. Larry said something that went without saying: don't bet your livelihood on a 1.0 release.
However, the people on the beta are on the beta because they have a relationship with Apple and they're not going to come out and say anything bad that could sour that relationship. I would be interested to hear Larry's private opinion of FCPX, which may not be the same as his public one. My software: Pro Maintenance Tools - Tools to keep Final Cut Studio, Final Cut Pro X, Avid Media Composer and Adobe Premiere Pro running smoothly and fix problems when they arise Pro Media Tools - Edit QuickTime chapters and metadata, detect gamma shifts, edit markers, watch renders and more More tools...
Yeah no kidding. This was just blasted on Facebook. Folks need to relax and stop with all the speculation. It's really silly. It's not like the Vancouver Canucks just losing the Stanley Cup Playoffs and setting fire to cars in the streets (check this out...)
[news.yahoo.com] Ah those crazy Canadians...thought they were a peaceful lot... When life gives you dilemmas...make dilemmanade.
Before this thread gets stupid and everyone begins posting about what Larry REALLY meant or something, Larry instead has responded in his blog.

I also think it's pointless to start a new thread when "Still Pro" is already a mile long and heading for record books. I think we should stick to it and bring up more useless info on THAT thread. I've done my part ;-)

Hey it was hockey fans. Who brings moltov cocktails to a hockey game. Very few people caused a lot of damage.
The only thing sillier than rumor forums is picking apart plain obvious statements. Anyone who relies on dot zero releases for their business is insane. As Larry said "I want your clients."
Maybe by next week we can turn this forum into a real discussion. Whoops, and now I've contributed to the madness. My apologies. Norman ===================================== NORMAN HOLLYN Professor at USC Film School, Editor, Writer, Speaker
