I cannot WAIT for Final Cut Pro EIGHT.

That's really what's happening, right, folks? This was a giant test market experiment, right? Apple wasn't really shopping FCP around among investors two years ago (from an eyewitness account) -- and when nobody bit... marketing decided THIS would replace 7? They actually have 8 waiting in the wings along with the studio component upgrades... right? Right? Please tell me I'm right.

(And I'm almost done with the KeyGuide for FCPX! How's THAT for diplomacy.)

i so, so very wish that was the case. this software has been part of my life every day for 11 years! oh well guess it's time to 'get zen with the change' and other such 'moving on' bright-and-breezy insinuations of those who like to edit videos of their kids at the beach then export them to Facebook or something.

i did try to find that petition on the apple discussion boards but it appears to have been deleted and/or censored. which is nice.
