Lost events

On FCPX I recently cut a video and now have many red boxes with a star and yellow triangle indicating lost clips - so re-imported the the folder from which the clips are in. but how does one reconnect the media to get back on the timeline?
It is not line FCP 7 where i can right click and get a drop down menu to 'Reconnect Media'.

Make sure your playback preferences are set to original/optimized not proxy.

Thanks Tom - they were already set to original/optimize not proxy. I'm still trroubleshooting.

Normally if you put the same clips in the same location with the same name and properties the clips automatically reconnect. Where the clip modified in another app, or opened in something like AE?
