Importing MXF files to FCP X

I shot a workshop on P2 cards and downloaded the contents on my G-4 powerbook laptop and tired to import the contents folder to FCP X on a Mac Pro with Lion but the MXF files will not import thus all my content is not there.
Usually we use the G-4 Powerbook PCMI slot to insert the P2 cards a with File sharing on and import the card contents into FCP X with no problem. This time we had many cards and created a folder for the contents. When I import the folder's contents the Video MXF files are not being allowed to import. Is because of the TXT files not being present as when the P2 card is directly imported?
