Clip Effects Won't Delete

Instructions online say to (1) Show Video Animation in the Clips tab, or to go to the Effects View, (2) Select the effect, (3) hit DELETE.

However, this doesn't work. Just nothing happens. Or else the entire clip is deleted (even if only the effect is selected). Bad Apple !

Should be so simple to delete an Effect from a clip. Just bad coding. Makes everyone in the shire very unhappy. HLP ! : )

Oh. If you just delete all graphics and clips from any previous FCPX versions and then start over again, your effects should delete just like magic. Something must be wrong when versioning up from FCPX 10.0.2 to 10.0.3.

If you click on a clip and open the inspector make sure you have the Video token at the top selected, below that you will see that you have Effects and for every effect you have applied to your clip you can select by clicking on hit and pressing your delete key to remove it or you can click on the blue box to disable it. It's very similar to the way Final Cut Pro 1 to 7 worked. It's just not in a filters tab.
