FCPX doesn't save for days at a time

Hello
I have noticed that FCPX sometimes seems to have a glitch that it will not save at different times. This week it was 3 days of careful work and then it froze with the beachball. We had to force quit. What I discovered is whenever the COMMAND Z is not working it doesn't save. We can work on it for days and everything seems fine except when the the COMMAND Z will not reverse an edit.

What I do now is keep checking that COMMAND Z is working.

Has anyone else had his issue.

Are you using 10.0.3? I've heard less about this issue from users of the latest version.
