FCP X workflow with Red Epic -X

Hi All, Im looking for a best practices, white paper or work flow for editing Red Epic -X files with FCP X, and any plugins needed. I will not have a Red Rocket card. Do I need to process Red Raw Files with Redcine-X or will FCP X handle Transcode to Pro Res.
