Go to next or previous marker

I've been using the Control + ; and Control + ' keyboard shortcuts to move the timeline playhead to next or previous markers. It goes to the markers, but sometimes only before making apparently random stops between the markers. Does anyone know why this happens instead of just going from marker to marker? I'm using FCP 10.0.9. Thanks!
