Text Effect Shown Turning Off - Doesn't ease out

Hello, This is an issue I've had for quite some time in FCPX and Motion, and wondered if anyone else experiences this and/or found a way to resolve it.
When using a text effect (for instance Blur), to effect the text onscreen, when the effect is over and the text returns to the original, unaltered state there is a noticeable "jump" in the text.
Does anyone else experience this? Have you found a way to ease the effect out?
