splitting up the time line in fcpx

I have edited 11 two minute videos onto the same timeline. They were given to a web master to download to a web site. I was told he could not separate the videos (which is what I want). Is there a simple way to separate each clip and create a new project for each?

I solved the problem by making a compound clip from each segment ….starting a new project…re-compressing…and burning a dvd.
