What do you guys do for grainy footage and noise in the blacks?

I was looking at FX Factory Pro but 399? Is there anything that works as well thats not big bucks like that. Editing a music video and just don't want to spend that kind of bread.
Thanks, new here... looks a bit slow on the board but any help would be great,
