Audio Volume limitations

So I am working in FCPX with great results. But I have an audio limitation issue I am hoping someone has a simple fix for.

I have a clip that the embedded audio is good quality, but it was recorded at a low volume. Even if I raise the volume to the max, it doesn't match up with the other clips in the project.

I want to push the audio beyond 100% to have it match, but I can't find a way in the software to do that.

Is there a way, or do I need to manipulate the clip outside of FC and then re-import it?

Have you tried using "Loudness" in the Inspector Audio tab?

Thanks, Craig. Loudness does increase volume, but I believe that it adds some additional audio effects to compress the audio levels, and that changes the tone of the audio a bit. I could be wrong, but I believe that is the purpose of the Loudness function.

Wonder if anyone else has an opinion about this... it could just be my imagination....
