Can FCPX 10.4.6 update previous FCPX version(s) project/event files?

Hello Friends . . .

. . . I need a friend. I really need to move forward with FCPX and I was wondering if the latest version of FCPX can update previous version of X projects/events in order to access them, and if so, hopefully in the state they were left in timeline, bins, etc.

Any help/pointers in the right direction appreciated.
