LAFCPUG members

IÕm a member of LAFCPUG. I am interested in learning more and getting experience with FCP. I am willing to donate my time for free to anyone who would be willing to intern me or let me work a few hours or days a week. I am interested in Videography and editing. I am on Social Security Disability for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (Vietnam & Laos) and have been cleared to go back to work by the Dept. of Veterans Affairs. I had a breakdown in 92Õafter watching Desert Storm. Just trying to be honest.
Enclosed is my resume for your review. IÕm looking for training to match my career goals in ,Production,Post Production, Editing, and being in a learning environment. I have basic Avid at Pasadena City College and Basic Final Cut Pro at American Film Institute. (ProMax course). I was also a Cinematography Major in the 70Õs (Pasadena City College,Pasadena,CA)

I have recently completed the telecommunications certificate program at Pasadena City College. I recently received Certificates of Achievement in the areas of radio controls, video operations, and video operations technology. In addition, I am a certified Broadcast technologist license number SBE #23064.

During my academic training I completed 90 hours of field practice as an intern with Total Broadcast Video and Audio. I also volunteered as a camera operator for Cable Channel 56--Pasadena Community Access Channel--shooting the Studio X and Animal Time Programs. During my volunteer experience with 89.3 FM, KPPC radio, I became proficient with the radio digital studio environment and operated the soundboard , as well. Call screened for ÒTalk of the CityÓ at KPPC 89.3 FM, for 11 months.

In closing, I would like to add that I have considerable prior experience as an electronic/electromechanical technician. I have experience working with graduate and undergraduate students at Caltech. Thank you for your time and consideration and I look forward to speaking with you about any possible help you can give me.
Thank you,

James P.Tarazon
