Production IT Manager

We need a Mac Maniac to keep our non-linear editing network on line and up to optimum functioning.

HRTV is America?s most honored television network dedicated to covering horses, horsemen and horse racing. The network brings 20 hours a day of live and original programming to 18 million homes across the US and abroad. Based out of Santa Anita Park and owned in a joint venture of Magna Entertainment Corp and Churchill Downs Incorporated, HRTV brings stories and live races from over 70 race tracks into your living room. We?re growing and need to expand our crew.

HRTV is seeking a Mac-savvy Manager to take the reins in Managing maintenance, troubleshooting, procurement and repair of all types of computer systems, focusing on Mac-based editing systems and other production-related computers. The successful candidate will serve on-call duty regularly to assist with critical and emergency functioning issues as needed after hours and on off days.

A partial listing of duties follows:
* Maintain, Support and provide quality control for MAC network, including data transfers to and from the network
* Maintain all SAN and NAS
* Perform all corrective and preventative maintenance for computers; install and update all software as necessary
* Maintain computer equipment proactively through the identification of potential problems. Assist with developing and implementing maintenance plans.
* Work independently to perform both routine and critical tasks, as well as taking direction from multiple staffers and maintaining updated communication with production and executive teams
* Perform on-call duty regularly to assist with critical and emergency functioning issues as needed after hours
* Manage the development, implementation, installation, and operation of information and functional systems for the organization.
* Manage computer operation scheduling, backup, storage, and retrieval functions.
* Review reports of computer and peripheral equipment production, malfunction, and maintenance to determine costs and impact, and address problems.
* Develop, maintain, and test disaster recovery plans.

Requirements
Must hold a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Television or closely related field as well as at least 2 years of hands-on professional experience in Macintosh Technology. Must have a thorough knowledge of broadcast operations and proven technical experience in the configuration of the following:

To be considered, candidates must be able to lift at least 50 pound safely and easily and spend a significant portion of work time standing, crouching reaching and / or climbing. Candidates must also be available to serve on-call after normal work hours and on weekends. A love of sports, especially horse racing is a definite plus.

Compensation
HRTV will offer the selected candidate a compensation package to include:
? $28 - $29 per hour
