Looking for Digital8 camera or deck to rent in LA

Hi,
Long time reader, first time poster. I'm trying to locate someone with a working Digital8 camera or deck that I could rent for a few days in LA. My original plan of buying a Digital8 camera on ebay and using it for a week to digitize some old tapes then resell failed miserably and I almost lost what is a priceless tape to me in the process. So here I am looking for someone with a healthy deck or camcorder I could rent for digitizing about 12 tapes. Please PM if you fit!

I'm in the same boat. My old sony is no longer doing its thing and I'm trying to digitize my old hi8 and dig8.
