My name is Karen Avizur and I'm currently located in Los Angeles, CA. I graduated with a BA in film last September. I'm proficient in Final Cut Pro, also slightly utilizing Compressor and DVD Studio Pro for deliverables, and also have experience with AVID. I edit on my Macbook Pro, and I've worked on short films, commercials, documentaries, music videos, BTS, and trailers. I have the ability to follow specific instructions, to take orders and constructive criticism, or to creatively put together a project on my own when given more freedom. Organization is a key skill of mine that I've worked to perfect as an editor, since I've experienced how much smoother a project runs when the footage, audio, and paperwork are all in order. In addition, I average 80 wpm, have great math skills, great grammatical skills, am a speed reader, and am both Mac and PC literate.
