Wondering where this might lead to:

I think this is a smart move by Adobe. Photoshop has a huge userbase and its users will be able to edit video within their comfort zone, much like some After Effects artists I know who insist on editing in AE because they don't understand Premiere or any other NLEs nearly as well.

I used to do image editing in Shake because I preferred the nodal UI and didn't know Photoshop very well.

Yeah I thought it was an urban myth but on several occasions I had to instruct AE users how to use Premiere. But its also baffling to me that AE users sometimes don't know PS or that PS users find AE so alien.
