Premiere Pro 7.0.1 - more like FCP 8 with every update

Have worked with Premiere Pro 7 for several months now...in Beta and now release -- just a few weeks after official cloud release they've delivered 7.0.1.....great improvements...lightening fast...no transcoding..even plays and edits those pesky .mts files ...and you can set up to work virtually the same as FCP 7....they've even included the FCP keyboard shortcuts as an option.

There are some differences and things to get used to....for example crop is a filter...not a motion tab item...drop shadow also a filter.

but the differences are minor and if you aren't a FCP X or AVID fan, you can easily make the transition to PP CC

On export, you can compress to as many different codecs as you'd like - MPEG, Youtube h264, broadcast codecs....all at once -- just send to the Avid Media Encoder....pick your presets - hit start...and get right back to editing....the encoding happens in the background.

Integration and round tripping with AE and Audition is seamless

FCP 7 refugees will feel at home in this NLE
