add transitions on import- premiere pro 4

ANSWER: Apply default to selection: in the sequence menu.


Our company has moved digs, and the mac is not up and running yet, so I have to
use PP4 on a Vista machine.

Anyhow, in FCP6, it is simple to start your slideshow, grab the bin with the photos
and drag to the monitor? (not at a mac right now) and it will allow you to add transition
to the entire bin.

Is there a way to add my default transition (crossfade) to all 260 slides in Premiere Pro 4?

I am a newbie to Premiere, so please be gentle... ;>

Drag all the shots to timeline, select either the clips (with selection tool) or the edit points (with roll tool) and hit your shortcut for transition.

Edit: Sorry, I missed the PPro 4 bit. My advice only applies to CC and in part, CS6.
