MC 5.5.2 takes a Loooooong time to start up.

I installed MC 5.5.2 and it was working merrily, then I installed Pro-tools 9.0.2 and now it takes both programs F-O-R-E-V-E-R to start up, five minutes before the splash screen shows, and then 10-15 to load plugins and open.

I did an update to PT to 9.0.3 Any suggestions what is wrong here?

OSX 10.6.7, QT v10. Quad Core Mac Pro, 24 gigs ram.

You need to install Pro Tools first and then Media Composer.
