Avid dailies transferred to offsite system missing sound.

So my newly and barely trained assistant is in San Diego, I'm here in LA. I get a bin, and all picture re-links. But some of the second system audio doesn't. The imported MXF Audio is there, it is in the folder where it should be. It really feels random what links and what doesn't.

In fact I have 1 clip that is redundant, there is a 117A/1_B.sync.01, and a 117A/1_B.sync.02. The second one re-links to the audio, the first doesn't.

What kind of mistakes or procedural error could we be making?

Problem solved, linking the Audio file first instead of trying to just re-link the synced subclip, has lead to success.
