Compressor surround sound bug

There is a problem when using the latest universal binary Compressor update to encode professionally mixed Dolby 5.1 audio tracks to ac3. After compressing to ac3 the left/right balance on music and effects tracks appears to be skewed heavily toward the right channels by approximately 3 to 6db. I've checked and rechecked the levels of the original aif tracksand all are fine. Has anyone else encountered this problem?

I'm trying to devise a test using tones to precisely identify the issue, but I'm not certain exactly what levels to use for the test. Anyone got an idea?
