4.0.2 still includes I/O of master clips

Still doing its 'not quite a bug because its in the manual" behavior of including ALL media between in and out points of any associated master clip in the project when MM a sequence. This is with Affiliates turned off. Make Independent still fixes this (though what else Independent changes I still ain't entirely clear on), as does my dummy drag-n-drop workaround. Wonky, don't like it even a little bit...
