I am importing JPEG stills at the regular video rate of 640x480x75pics into a G5 with FCP HD. The quality of each image in the timeline is sharp when the frame is static but when I run the program the image loses definition. Picture is still viewable but quality is poor. Have tried importing JPEGS at 200pics with no improvement in image quality. What am I not doing?

Nothing is wrong. Still images on a progressive screen will always look better than on an interlaced ntsc monitor. As you hit play it is looking for two fileds. What you see are single vs. interlaced fields. How does it look on different monitors and did you export a sample as a quicktime file? I normally bring in stills at 720 x 540 to avoid the squeezed look.

Hope this helps.
