Error While exporting EDL

i have a project the offline edit was edited on FCP HD and now i have to do the online but i have to do it an other system which is there in another city ( they dont use FCP ). the only way i thought is that EDL. when i try to export EDL it is giving me a " general error " and after that it says do u want to continue or quit . if i select continue it is giving me a error no "-34".
what could be the problem and how do i complete my online edit.
is there anybody who can help me on this.
