Using FCP 5.1 - After importing scanned jpegs (scanned at 300dpi) to fcp timeline, adding key frames to the picture to create motion, I see interlaced artifacts in the picture. By adding a gausian blur filter the interlacing is better, but the pictures are not as as stable as they were in fcp 4.5

It's not a bug; use TIFF or PSD RGB's, stay away from JPEG. Too much compression..
