Yet another "Video Bit Rate Too High" error

Hello,

I am trying to copy to DVD a video stream recorded on my digital satellite receiver (Dreambox)

The doc is 90 minutes long.
I exported it from the DB to the Mac using MPEG StreamClip and I have now two files :

- the video, format m2v, 2.57 Gb
- the audio, format aif, almost 1Gb

Quicktime can read the whole and indicates a bit rate of 5.45 Mb/s

Obviously, this think should fit on a 4.7 Gb CD.

However, when I am building the DVD with DVDSP, I receive the dreadfull error message "VBR Too High" even when I set the bit rate to only 3.0 Mb/s in the preferences.

I am quite new to DVD authoring and I really wonder what is going wrong here.

Your help will be appreciated

Thanks

Seb
Hello,

I found the solution.
Using AC3 (Dolby 2.0) encoded sound tracks solves the problem.
Lesson I learned : do not use AIF for sound tracks in DVD

Hope this will help someone help
