Studdering Footage

I'm working with DVD Studio Pro 4. I have a G5 Power Mac 2.0 Gigahertz processor with 4.5 Gigs of RAM and a few hundred gigs of storage left. After I imported my footage, applied it to a button and previewed it through the Simulator, I noticed that each and every time, at the same exact spots, the footage would stutter (stop, start) ever so briefly. This occurred several times during the preview. The Quicktime file I imported is about 3.2 Gigs and plays flawlessly. Since I'm only applying one file, to one track, I should have enough space to burn the disc.

Will the studdering affect my burn and if so how do I stop it?
