final DVD freezing on home DVD player.

Hi everyone,
I had DVD freezing problem, read previous posts, and fixed it by reducing the amount of information on DVD. By that I mean i did not include one of my sequences, and put it in another DVD and kept the quality on both DVD. My final DVD was about 3.8 gig, and worked fine. (project was 24P)
First question:
What is the top limit that I can go load up the DVD without any risk?
Second:
What other problems that cause DVD issues are most common?
Third:
Which is the best DVD media that is working for you?

Fourth:
Does anyone think that 24p might be also one of the cause of this DVD issue? (Since I had 30p projects without any DVD issues, and this is my first 24P)
G5, 2.7 ghz, 2GB ram, 250 GB hard drive partitioned.
Maxell DVD+R 4.7 GB 8X
