dvd templates

Aloha,
Has anyone ever tried to take the templates from iDVD and bring them into DVD Studio Pro? I hadn't even given iDVD a look until recently and found that the templates are actually really nice--and way more user friendly than those in DVD Studio Pro. I can't seem to figure out how to bring those in and use them.

It is said that iDVD 4 was the last time you could export the templates.??

According to the DVDSP Product Manager, the changeover to DVDSP's oxygene subsystem precludes the template compatibility.

I have scavanged parts from the newer templates and used them, but haven't been able to make any of them "general".

The PM's suggestion is that we use Motion to create templates. He's bothered that no one has jumped on this as a product opportunity...
