Video Bit Rate too HIgh

hey guys,

I have seen this topic on here from time to time, and now its my turn.

I have just completed the authoring for a Dual Layer disc. With a bit rate of 5.5 w/ VBR 7.4

I get an error during the muxing stage: "Video Bit Rate Too High"

I have reduced my bit rate from an original 6.0 w/ VBR 8.0 to 5.5 w/ VBR 7.4, and still same message.

I do however have an audio commentary set up, i have noticed conversation about that being the prob, but i don't think so in this case..

If anyone knows of a familiar prob w/ solution. It would be a great help!

thanks again guys,
J

Usually, the combined bitrate of the audio and the video content can cause this.

I usually turn the audio into AC3 and that can reduce the bitrate much. What length of time does the video run for.

If it under an hour, I would use CBR at something less than 6.5 Mbps and AC3 audio out of Compressor.

thanks for the reply,

all audio is compressed to Dolby2.0 ac3

TRT: 1:22:46;13

I have explored all options
I have no idea what the problem is......

Could it be part of the VTS order?

thanks again,
J
