Writing an uncompressed .avi file to DVD

I have a 500 meg .avi file created in a CAD system. ILt's 1220 x 669 and 15 fps. I want to wrilte it to a DVD witlhout loosing any quality. Can it be done? Thanks for any help.

Is this file to be archived as data or are you talking about a video DVD?

Sorry Doc, but you will almost every time loose quality when burning to a standard def. DVD.

an Mpeg2 compression is somewhere in the realm of DVcam color space and a resolution of 720x480, which in your case is fare less then the pixel resolution of your data.
