A52

So i just loaded Episode PRO.

Let me tell you. Freakin great compression. Compressor, I love it. But Episode has THE BEST H.264 compression I have seen yet. The presets blow sorenson out of the water.

Now here's my question.

I just loaded a batch for Mpeg2 compression.

go to choose audio, expecting AC3.

They give me A52.

Now I read that this is the MAC's version of the AC3 format. But still feel a bit cautious.

Need a bit more info before we think about running 10,000 copies of this compression to replication.

Has anyone here dealt with this format?
