video card

Would you recommend a video card to run FCStudio2? here's the specs of my current video card. Is it good enough? Thanks.

Not mentioning your machine, I can't guess except that it is an AGP video card you are replacing. I think the Nvidia GForce4 MX only came on G5 AGP systems. If that is the case and the AGP bus is 8x then the ATI X800 is the only choice you have.

Regrettably, that card is not in stock ANYWHERE! This RosH European standard has those cards backed up indefinitely.

If you system is not a G5 but rather a G4 then plan on getting a new or used G5 or MacPro to run FCS2.

Sounds like I have the right card? 1.75 GB SDRRam, G4 is my computer.

You still didn't mention which G4 you have. If it isn't the Dual Mirrored 1.25 GHz model, you won't even be able to load FCS2.

I have used a Quicksilver 2002 dual 1.0 GHz G4 up to FCS 5.1 but the latest FCS2 will not even load on this machine.

I have a powermac G4, 1.75 GB SDram, 10.4.9, dual processor 867 MHz. Apple tech sup. told me FCPro would run but not Color and Motion2. I have FCPro 4.5. The video card I have mentioned above is OK with FCPro 4.5 but would not run Color or Motion of FCstudio 2.
