DVDSPRO palette folders go AWOL!

im having an ongoing issue. when i open a project, the palette menu always displays the (video and still) contents of the last project i worked with - NOT those associated with the project ive just opened.

am i the only one having this issue?
wonder is this likely linked to the fact that my dvdspro disc stalls for like 45 min during the install?

i am SOOO about to go to windows for my DVD creation - dvdspro is about the biggest convoluted piece of garbage software ive ever used!
