Widescreen DVDs

When I create DVDs with my FCP project in SD 16x9, they preview as 4x3, but burn okay and play in 16x9. Is there a better way to export and "proof" the format?

in DVDSP you need to tell the project it is 16/9.
do this in the inspector

when you use the simulator there is a drop-down to set it to 16/9.
