Buttons don't go to targetPosted by johnm
With layered menus on some players you need to click twice - once to change to the highlihgted layer and then again to activate the jump. This doesn't happen on all players, and in fact on a computer shouldn't happen at all, but I have been caught out with it more than once...
Basic overlays are a lot more intuitive and reliable in that respect and of course also allow you to use audio - I recommend you use them instead of layer based menus wherever possible.
Can you describe ' don't work properly' a little bit better? In what way are they not working? Are they going to the wrong location, not linking to any asset, not highlighting, not showing the active state... etc, etc, etc.
What type of menu is it - layered, overlay, motion, overlay from psd, etc?
sorry for my bad english
Im running G5 dp 2.5 / 4gb ram, all my software is legal so I exclude crack bugs or bad features. Ok, I have project in dvdsp4 with 9 slideshows, 80 +1 (intro) v/a track, and 3 menus. Menues are jpeg inported in dvdsp and set like backdrop. Buttons are square window, selected from template shape/apple window. Im not familiar with scripting so I linked all manually. From the menu I select first button than in Inspector window select target (ad es. V1), than I link V1 to V2 then V2 to V3.....V15 to Main Menu. When I play this in Simulate mode everything is ok, but when I burn it on dvd and play it in linear dvd player it goes like v1 to v2, v2 to v3, v3 to v6, v6 to v4, v4 to v5, v5 to v7 and so on... I checked everything, this is not my first dvd authoring I have some experience but this is the first time from the dvdsp1.5 that I have this kind of problem. Thanks Jupi
Don't worry about your English - it's fine!
What I don't understand is the way the project is set up. From what you say I imagine that you are setting the end jumps for each track to go to the next track in sequence - or are you saying the menu buttons are not going to the correct track each time? If it is the menu buttons going to the wrong asset then all you can do is double check the links again - the simulator in v1.5 is fairly inaccurate, and even if it shows what you think you need, you *must* build the project to your hard drive and open it with DVD Player to see it more accurately. Sorry, you do not have permission to post/reply in this forum.
