Menu transitions

Hi,

Have a question regarding menu transitions. I have a
37" looped main menu with a 37" video/audio on it.
When I hit a button to play my movie, the 37" loop
snaps to the beginning and after that starts the dissolve
(that's what I'm using) into the movie. Is there a way
to have the menu with the clip dissolve smoothly into
black, without the snapping to the beginning going on?

there is a way, but i see how you would want to keep it as seamless as possible. unfortunately, you will get some type of jump.

Another question... maybe I'm missing a step. In the main menu(1st play) as background I have 30 sec of cloud movement (no audio) I want to loop continuous. From the Inspector window- Transition Tab -Ive selected dissolve with a 1 sec dissolve. Why does the video jump and not dissove at the end or beginning of my loop?
