hope this isn't too off topic.
I just bought a macbook pro.
when i burn a dvd (from fcp timeline compressed to quicktime) in idvd. it plays on the laptop but not on my mac g4 desktop? It tells me i put in an empty DVD? any suggestions.

Have a look at the surface of the disc - has anything been written to it? Does this disc play in any other machine? Is it a +R or a -R disc? Can your G4 desktop play a +R disc?
