Sound out of sync

Just made a DVD of a concert recording.

Its 1 hour long.
The sound slips a few frames right from the start and seems to be out of sync for the duration of the DVD.

There is nothing wrong with the actual file - it is in sync.

Why is this?
Can it be fixed?

You are saying that the sequence plays through on the timeline but as soon as it goes through encoding the audio slips a few frames and stays that way?

What specifically is your workflow. I never deviate from Export to QT, in FCP. Open Compressor, drag QT file in Window and encode .m2v + .ac3. Open DVD Studio Pro. Import .m2v+.ac3.

Seems to work for me every time!

My workflow is export from FCP to QT Uncompressed.

I import that file to DVD SPRO and encode natively in the application when I build.

HD footage to SD DVD, my workflow:

Export Self-Contained Uncompressed QT
Import the Exported QT into FCP
Drag the clip onto an SD sequence
Export > Compressor
Encode .m2v + aiff

What was the solution?

I'm having a similar experience, trying to get this DVD out ASAP.

I'm working in DVCPRO HD in FCP.

Workflow: Export DVCPRO HD 720p QT > import into FCP> export in Compressor, creating an 8-bit anamorphic SD conversion > export in Compressor, creating .m2v + AC3 + aiff.

When I bring these into DVDSP, the video looks very nice, clean and smooth. The audio is whacked way out of sync. Even slipping one way or the other will not work it out; it's variably o/o/s somehow, like it's stretched way off.

Could it be some kind of drift in frame settings b/n video and audio?

Any ideas would be lovely.
