Correct file types for DVD Studio Pro 4?

I'm having trouble importing Quicktime 7 .mov files into DVD SP 4. Either by themselves or in a folder, it says wrong file type on import. It does like "final cut pro movie" files, not sure what the difference is.

FCP 6.04, QT 7.5.5, OS 10.5.5, Dual 2Ghz G5 PPC, 4 GB SDRam

QuickTime.mov files can be a very (VERY) wide range of things. QuickTime is a wrapper not a codec. I could say I am giving you a QT file BUT it could be a 320x240 H.264 movie with AAC audio or Uncompressed 10-bit with several audio tracks or a whole range of other things. Me saying to you I am giving you a QuickTime doesn't mean a whole lot! unless it is qualified with other info.

Maybe you're converting your QT's to something that is upsetting DVDSP. Try making mpeg-2 & AC3 (Dolby Digital) files in Compressor and using those for a SD workflow.
