Meaning of Status Lights

After importing assets into my DVDSP project I notice that the "Status" lights are different colors. Some are green and some are orange. What is the meaning of these lights? Is orange bad? Is there a red light? Thanx Barry

Orange is not bad, it simply means that DVDSP is parsing the asset so that it can work with it more efficiently. A green asset either doesn't need this doing, or already has it done.

If you import still images, or .mov files, or h.264 assets then DVDSP will create a folder where it holds the information it needs. For example, if you import h.264 then DVDSP will strip out the audio stream (which it has to do), and place it in a folder called 'MPEG' in the same location as the original file (unless you have told DVDSP to do it elsewhere through the preferences for the application) where it will put a .aif version of the audio and use that in the project. Whilst it is extracting and sorting through this the status will be orange.
