HD DVD on DVD-R that plays in Blueray

I'm fairly certain, I've made a high def DVD-R that played in my Sony Blue-ray player. I can't remember what the magic sauce was though.

When I make a HD DVD using compressor and DVDSP it won't play because it's the lost format.

Can any one think of what I might have done in the past? Any psychics out there, or just the same old Psychotics?

I found the Larry Jordan article, but it seems to me that I was doing something a little more manual. I might have been compressing in compressor and then using another app to make a "BR DVD-R"

That article pretty much covers what you need to do. You create a disk image (.img) and then use Toast or Disk Utility to burn it to a DVD-R, provided the content will fit.
