I exported a Quicktime mov in the DVCPRO HD 720p60 format, 1280x720 and when building the MPEGs in DVD Studio Pro, the simple, large Ariel text in the movie, white on black, is ragged, not crisp at all. The Quicktime looks clean, but DVD Studio Pro, even at 2 pass VBR, 6.0 encode setting, can't seem to handle it. I know its going from HD to SD but still, I've seen better handling of text from SD Quicktimes. I prefer not to go through Compressor. Should I output a ProRes HQ Quicktime to get better results? Or is there something in DVD Studio Pro that I can set differently?
