ATI X850 video card, 512 MB RAM?

I recently moved up to the world of G5 with the dual 2.3. Part of my excitement is that I now get to start learning Motion. Anywho...

In the manual it mentions a X850 video card, listed above, performance-wise, the 6800. So what would differentiate the X850 from the X800? Well in the case of the 9650, it has double the memory of the 9600 (256 vs. 128.)

So as a dedicated dual-display user, I'm hoping that we do see an Apple OEM X800 with a whopping 512 MB RAM. For the sake of Motion.

Just my random 2 cents.
JB,

IMHO, because of the revolutionary Motion Technology and the Supercharged new G5 machines, I think other Developers will jump on the GPU bandwagon and I think you will see a 1 Gig video card by NAB next year. If you sit around and wait for it, you'll never get anything done. If I sat around and waited for the fastest Mac to be released, I would still be chunking along on my 9500/150 in OS 9 (lol)

...just do it.

I hear ya. My only concern now is that I hear there were some hiccups with the X800 and Tiger.
